CFB is suffering from a serious lack of leadership. Each conference acts independently for its own best interest with no bigger vision for what is best for the sport.

Some have playfully recommended making Kirk Herbstreit the czar of College Foorball.

Here at SCFB, we don't know what the final solution is, but we know that CFB desperately needs strong leadership and also that the leadership needs accountability.

TWO BIG OPTIONS

Simply speaking, in terms of leadership, one of two things needs to happen:

Option 1: NCAA 2.0 - The first option is that the NCAA could kindly remove its head from its rear end and begin to lead college football into the future in a strong and helpful way. This would require no more political protection for bluebloods. Enforcement has to be equal for all teams.

Option 2: Form the ACFL - Breaking away from the NCAA to form a separate American College Football League is the second option. If the NCAA refuses to lead and regulate in a unifying and beneficial way, then all CFB teams should leave. The legal complexities would be intense, but something has to be done. And it can't be that we wait for an individual conference to do this on their own. The negative impact for the majority of CFB teams and CFB overall would be immense.

ACCOUNTABILITY

No matter which central leadership and organizing option is picked, accountability for CFB leadership is required. Part of the exit strategy for SCFB is to create a three Official Roles to represent fans, coaches and players with a seat at the table where CFB decisions are made. These representative would have the ability and responsibility to hold the CFB leaders accountable for their decisions and to ensure that decisions are being made in the best interest of the entire sport - not specific people, teams or conferences.

If you want to help, for now Sign the Petition and Spread the Word. The more people we get involved, the more we impact we can make.

Remember, College Football is worth saving. We can do it. We have to do it.
